I created an I Ching app and published it on the Windows Marketplace.

The I Ching, sometimes referred to as the “Oracle of Changes”, or “Book of Changes” is an ancient chinese text of prophecy and wisdom.

This app will let you cast the coins, or divide stalks to get your I Ching reading. The app contains very minimal interpretations, so once you’ve obtained your result, consult your I Ching translation of choice to get a full interpretation.

Hyperion Remote

Hyperion Universal remote is a Windows Phone app to control a Hyperion server to change the backlighting of your TV using a Raspberry Pi and a light setup, like LightBerry.

As long as the JSON endpoint for your Hyperion server is enabled (usually port 19444), the remote will be able to connect to the app and change the colors.

How to use it

Go to the servers page, and add a server. Give it a name, and an address. Depending on your network setup, you may need to use the IP address, instead of a friendly name.

My name is John Gardner. That isn’t very unique! If you Bing me, you get about 46 million hits. Most of those aren’t me. My full name is John Robert Gardner Jr. Bing THAT! Not even “John Gardner” and my hometown of Markesan, WI will find me, although I used to appear near the top. The top hits are usually my dad. In my work life, I’m Senior Product Architect for Rosetta Biosoftware, a software company that is part of Rosetta Inpharmatics, which is a research company that is part of Merck & Co, Inc., but which is currently in the progress of being purchased by Microsoft.
